First Day

Grades K-5

  • Bus transportation will be provided. Be certain that students are at their stop by 7:30am. Drivers may be new and routes may be different from last year, so be prepared to wait for the bus.  Kindergarten students who have not completed the bus transportation form will not be permitted to ride the bus on the first day.  ​

 

  • If you bring your child to school by car, please know that parking is limited. You may need to park a distance from the school and walk.

 

  • Breakfast is served at 8:05 am on the first day of school and each day after. Menus may be found on the City Schools website, www.baltimorecityschools.org

 

  • 4th and 5th grade students should arrive at the Outdoor Classroom on Sulgrave Avenue by 8:15am. K through 3rd grade students should arrive at the front door area of the Lower Building on Smith Avenue by 8:15am.

 

  • Teachers will identify their classes and escort students to their homeroom.

 

  • In the event that it is raining, students in K through 3rd grade students should report to the cafeteria to be escorted to classrooms.

 

  • In the event that it is raining, students in 4th, and 5th grade students should enter the gym to be escorted to their classrooms.

  • Lunch will be served on the first day of school and each day after. Menus may be found on the City Schools website, www.baltimorecityschools.org.

  • Your child’s daily schedule will be sent home the first week of school. The schedule will include lunch time and days and times for resource classes.

 

  • Dismissal is at 3:05 pm. Students taking carpool home will be escorted to the cafeteria for dismissal. Cars are to wait in a line on Lochlea on the left curbside. Students will be called to the cars. Students riding buses will be escorted by school staff to their assigned bus. Walkers will be escorted to the door on the corner of Sulgrave Road.

 

Welcome letters with class assignments will be mailed out the first week in August. If your mailing address has changed, please call the school at 443-642-2900 to update your address.

Grades 6-8

  • Students should arrive at the Outdoor Classroom by 7:55 am.

 

  • Students will be directed to enter the building at 8:00 am.  

 

  • In the event that it is raining, students should report to the cafeteria.

 

  • Lunch will be served on the first day of school and each day after. Menus may be found on the City Schools website, www.baltimorecityschools.org.

 

  • Your child’s daily schedule will be sent home the first week of school. The schedule will include lunch time and days and times for resource classes.

 

  • Dismissal is at 2:50 pm.
